Indy Rubber Stamp and Paper Festival by Heirloom Productions

27 February 2013

I am so excited to be going to this Heirloom Productions stamp show with my friends! If you have ANY interest in stamping – you do not want to miss these shows when they come to your area. This weekend the festival is at the Indianapolis Fairgrounds. You can go to the Heirloom Productions site for the whole schedule and links to vendor sites.

There is such a long list of vendors coming to the Indy show. One of my friends has prioritized the list. She might keep me from wandering aimlessly from booth to booth as designs catch my eye, but I am making no promises. I expect to have trouble narrowing down my wish list no matter how I shop. Maybe I can spend a little less on groceries next week ;)

Peel the Love with Cuties for Valentines Day, Printables

26 January 2013

This is the cutest Valentine idea that I have seen this year! Karrie at Happy Money Saver created these adorable printable bag toppers to use with Cuties fruit. She has several versions available on her site when you sign up for her newsletter.

Creative Bargain Shopping

9 January 2013

I shop at Office Depot and Staples quite a bit. Especially when they run 100% rewards deals like they are BOTH doing right now.  The real fun starts when I can take what I buy and make something crafty out of it.

This week I used Office Depot rewards to buy round tags. I coffee stain them (using free samples of instant coffee by the way), stamp words or art on each one, and use them on projects or resell them as they are. I sold out of my spider tags in October and word tags in November, so I need to get busy.

I enjoy turning this

into these!

Vintage Winter Image Ephemera Download – A Free Friday Find

23 November 2012

I found a real treat on one of my favorite blogs by Stampington and want to share it with you.

What do you think of this free vintage ephemera image to download and use? I love it and plan to use it for some of my Christmas projects.

Boone County Extension Homemakers’ Holiday Bazaar

15 November 2012

My friends and I are busy with preparations for this Saturday. We will be set up at the Boone County fairgrounds at the Holiday Bazaar. Want to shop the over 90 vendors, crafters and artists?

It is in both the Farm Bureau Building & the Witham Health Services Pavilion 9 am – 3 pm on Saturday November 17, 2012 .

We will be in the Witham Pavilion with a mix of Seasoned With Time and Mustard Seed goods. Some handmade from each of us (yes, I even made a few things!), vintage holiday items, books and a few puzzles if we have room. Von and Carol are the true artists of the group. I know Carol is making some jewelry and Von has done wonders with paper and fabric – as always.

Look for the fairgrounds off of I-65 at Exit 138 near Lebanon, Indiana. We hope to see you there!

Scary Skinny Girl Stampotique Stamp Auction Got Away

24 July 2012

I wanted to win this stamp auction, but was unwilling to bid any higher – so it got away. I am patient AND determined to find good deals on more of this line of stamps. They will make some fun tags and cards for the fall season. This one is actually “gooseneck” by Daniel Torrente and Jill Penney. Don’t you just hate finding what you want on eBay and then letting it slip away? Oh well! On with my search.

Inexpensive Craft Project Washer Pendant Necklaces

8 May 2012

How cute are these necklaces?? I found them on one of my favorite sites, Money Saving Mom. She posted three ideas for inexpensive Mothers Day projects. My favorite is the this pendant made from washers, which I am betting I can find in our garage. Scott will laugh if I start digging through his hardware stash – he knows I have a rather large supply of craft supplies of my own! You can find Christy’s great detailed set of instructions at Thrifty and Thriving.

Vintage Springbok Puzzle, Missing Pieces, Interesting Faces

11 January 2012

You may remember that I bought three vintage Springbok puzzles in neat old round boxes. The first two, Alice in Wonderland and a horse image, were complete and are already in their new homes, but the third puzzle is missing some edge pieces. I do not sell incomplete jigsaw puzzles, so this one will not be listed. I will be using the pieces for some type of interesting cards or tags as I am fascinated by the faces in the artwork. The box is a conversation piece for a shelf in my office. I just had to share!

A handmade flower from a friend

9 June 2011

My friend Yvonne has been making flowers out of all sorts of things. She has turned some old wool blankets into flower pins with button centers.  Adding this one to my purse prompted several people to ask me if I made my purse.  Of course I didn’t, but the flower sure adds a fun touch.

I have no intention of suffering alone, old photograph greeting card.

31 March 2011

My friend Carol thought of me when she was making this card…I hope it was because she knew it would make me laugh out loud.  I collect old photographs.  I also collect witty sayings and quotes.  I do not, unfortunately, have the knack of putting the two together like she does.

You can find more of Carol’s work in the handmade category of my blog.  I have no intention of enjoying them alone.
