A Fresh Start by Amy at The Finer Things In Life

1 January 2013

A Fresh Start by Amy at The Finer Things In Life.I enjoy reading Amy’s blog at The Finer Things In Life. I think  you will, too. I am looking forward to her 31 fresh start posts this month. Day 1, Gratitude, made me stop and focus less on resolution making and more on thankfulness for all that 2012 brought to my family. A new year does seem like the perfect time for a fresh start and Amy has a way of putting everything in a positive light. My children are grown, but I learn a lot from her approach to her day-to-day life.

Wordless Wednesday by Elegant KB

I enjoy reading blogs, but sometimes-like today-my poor little brain is just full of words and I just look at the pictures. Today I am admiring the silent blog post by Elegant KB.

Fix It and Forget It Friday

1 April 2011

Spring is in the air.  It was a long cold winter and I feel like a dusty house plant.  I want to get outside and breathe the fresh (pollinated) air. I have made plans for each day this weekend.  Plans that include my family but do NOT include sitting at my desk.

I have been using internet tools to work ahead so my business and networking continues while I am away for hours at a time.

  • EBay auctions are scheduled at appropriate times through Blackthorne.
  • Twitter tweets are scheduled on Hoote Suite, so I haven’t missed Follow Friday.
  • I printed shipping labels ahead of time and scheduled carrier pickup.
  • I scheduled this blog post on WordPress.

I am literally in two places at once, thanks to the Internet.  And yes, dinner is in the crock pot.

I Found Comment Luv at Moomette’s Magnificents!

17 February 2011

One of my 2011 goals is to spend more time online each day. Part of that goal is the learning and networking that I want/need to do.  There are so many people with knowledge to share!  One of those people is Cindi at Moomette’s Magnificents.  I have always enjoyed Cindi’s blog, but today I came away with a great new tool for my own blog.

Have you seen the little red hearts in the comment sections of some of the blogs that you read?  I saw the hearts for the first time last week. Comment Luv automatically linked to my site when I left comments to enter a book giveaway. I knew immediately that I wanted the option on my site, but I didn’t know how to add it.

Today I found the details on Cindi’s blog.  She explained it so well that my trusty I.T. department, aka my husband Scott, was able to install the comment option on our blogs in just minutes.  So now, when you leave comments here or at Blog Lafayette, you can share your link, too. Give it a try…I think you will luv it!
